On Tuesday, Francis Holland Foresters enjoyed a delightful trip to Norbury Park, where Years 1, 2 and 3 engaged in some unique educational activities.
Year 1 embarked on an exciting animal tracking hunt, discovering footprints in the forest whilst searching for the zebra from their class text, The Zebra’s Great Escape, as well as building cages so Mr Spit could get a taste of his own medicine. Year 2 unleashed their creativity by crafting wood cookies, making tally charts of footprints they found on the forest floor, and creating art with natural resources. Meanwhile, Year 3 delved into their history topic on Sir Hans Sloane, creating their own natural history sketchbooks inspired by his work, as well as learning to tell the time using natural resources to make their own clocks. The day ended on a sweet note with everyone enjoying ice lollies in the sun. Well done Years 1, 2 and 3!
