The Reception and KS1 concert was a joyous celebration of the girls’ musical talents. The concert featured the Year 2 string project, Year 1 recorders and percussion, and Reception drumming. There was also plenty of singing with each class presenting their own song, where we heard ‘My Favourite Things’, ‘Touch the Sky’, and the flamboyant ‘Flamingo Flamenco’. The performance concluded with a heart-warming finale with all the children singing ‘Down in the Jungle’, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, and ‘The Bare Necessities’.
