Earlier this week, the whole school from Reception to the Sixth Form gathered on the playground to celebrate the end of an era – the move of the Junior School from Sloane Square to Manresa Road.

The service focused on the theme of change and included speeches from Mrs Haydon and Mrs Dixon, a fantastic summary of how change should be embraced from Margarita, Manon and Remi, a recital of ‘Oh the places you’ll go’ (with some edits) from the Senior Head Girls and a whole school performance of ‘The Lord Bless You and Keep You’.

Perhaps the most poignant moment, was when Sophia in Reception stood up in front of the whole school to end Mrs Dixon’s speech with

‘We will miss you, but we will always be your little sisters’.

Whilst the end of term marks the move of the school, we know that the links between Manresa Road and Sloane Square will remain strong and we are looking forward to how the opportunities for both schools will continue to develop in the future. In the words of the JSPA, for the moment it is ‘Farewell to Sloane Square’ and ‘Meet you at Manresa’!
