This week in Gardening Club there was great excitement!
The girls started off with some maintenance jobs; watering their previously planted strawberry and tomato plants which are starting to flower beautifully. There are even some little strawberries fruiting which is a delight for all to see. With the important jobs done, we moved on to planting a sunflower seed each in our newly painted pots. With varying species of plant, some girls’ sunflowers will grow high and mighty, other more modest in height, but equally impressive in colour and shape. The girls are so looking forward to sampling their (hopefully abundant) harvest; bring on the sunshine!
