Reception – Miss Jackson and Miss King-Lewis
On Thursday, Reception J and K hosted their first Open Classroom event. We welcomed parents to explore the classrooms and see the girls’ learning journey so far. Parents had the opportunity to view a variety of work and photographs showcasing the girls’ fantastic learning. The classrooms were filled with excitement as everyone proudly shared their achievements. Thank you to all the Reception parents for coming in.
Year 1 – Mrs Krupa and Miss Thompson
On Thursday, our Year 1 girls had a chance to shine during our Open Classroom event! Both classrooms were buzzing with excitement as proud parents arrived to see their daughters’ amazing achievements from this half of term. The girls proudly displayed their work, from part-part-whole models in Maths, Faraway Tree character descriptions in English and timelines in History lessons. The air was filled with the sound of excited chatter as girls enthusiastically explained their learning, such as who Florence Nightingale was and how to solve missing number problems. It was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to showcase their fantastic achievements and build their confidence. Well done Year 1!
Year 2 – Miss Blackburn and Miss Johnson
Year 2 girls were excited to welcome parents into their classrooms this week. They shared all of their fantastic work and couldn’t believe how much has been achieved in just six weeks. A highlight was showcasing all our writing based on our favourite but clumsy bear, Paddington. It has been a fabulous start to the year and everyone in Year 2 cannot wait for the next chapter of our journey together after half term.
Year 3 – Mr Shepherd and Miss Wood
Year 3 were thrilled to welcome parents into our classrooms this week for a special showcase of pupil work. The girls were delighted to present their work, particularly their fantastic farmyard poetry and superb self-portraits! The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement, and we are looking forward to the next one already.
Year 4 – Miss Adams and Mr Cilveti
On Tuesday morning, all the girls in Year 4 welcomed their parents into their classrooms and showed them all the work they had completed in their books. It was splendid to see how proud they all were of their hard work and of their new classrooms. Miss Adams, Mr Cilveti and Miss Verney would like to thank everybody who attended our Open Classroom. The girls loved having the opportunity to spend time with you in the school.
Year 5 – Miss Bartlett and Mr Trueman
It was wonderful to see packed classrooms with all the children excitedly sharing the amazing work they’ve completed this term. The pupils were enthusiastic and eager to guide you through their learning journey, proudly showcasing their achievements – from their English work on The House with Chicken Legs to the place value and multiplication tasks they’ve mastered in maths. Thank you all for attending.
Year 6 – Miss Dixon and Mr Goetzen
Year 6 were delighted to welcome parents to their Open Classroom on Monday morning. The girls have worked incredibly hard this half term, so it was a wonderful opportunity for them to show off the fruits of their labour.
