During our Monday morning assembly, Jeremy Gilley came to talk to us about Peace One Day.
He was the first person to stop a war for one day. He asked us what peace meant to us – I think it is important to speak up for other people, have a conversation and try to solve the situation peacefully. Jeremy showed us his MBE medal, I got to stand next to him and got to feel the medal. It was so big and golden. It looked like a snowflake and I thought it was very impressive. We loved his assembly!
