In the Year 4 football tournament hosted by Bloomsbury and the La Liga federation, our Real Betis team topped the group stages but faced a heart-breaking loss on penalties in the semi-final against the eventual champions.  The event was enriched by a Q&A session with Vicky Losada, who shared insights about life as a professional footballer.  Vicky has been playing football for over 20 years and has represented Barcelona, Roma, Manchester City and her current club, Brighton and Hove Albion.

In the first U11 cricket match at Norland Place, a stellar batting performance led to a decisive 30-run victory, highlighting the team’s improved bowling skills.  In the second match, despite impressive batting efforts, the team narrowly lost by four runs.

Congratulations and thank you to our runners who took part in the first ever Battersea Junior Parkrun test event on Wednesday morning despite the rain.  Our volunteer team passed the exam with flying colours and we are looking forward to officially starting this Sunday.  The information can be found here Battersea Junior Parkrun.
