On Thursday, Years 1, 2 and 3 finally made it to Norbury Park for their first Foresters trip of 2024. The sun even made an appearance to welcome them!
The girls had an egg-cellent time, completing a mathematical Easter Egg Hunt, which involved solving various maths problems to crack the Easter code. They were egg-streamly egg-cited to solve the riddles and were rewarded with some well-earned s’mores which they cooked themselves over a campfire, along with a delicious hot chocolate.
Year 1 spent time creating their own stick men, using wool to fashion some delightful clothing, as well as some stick men houses. Year 2 continued their English work on The Worst Witch, making their own magic wands, potions and witchy dens. Year 3 were inspired by their class text, The Firework Makers Daughter, and built their very own pirate ships for Rambashi and his pirates, using logs, rope and tarpaulins.
A great day out was had by all, and we already can’t wait for next time. Well done to all the girls for showing excellent teamwork skills and a superb growth mindset.
